Advanced Placement World History
World History is essential to any social studies curriculum. Various insights into the current status of the modern world socially, politically, religiously, and economically are introduced to students for their interpretation and understanding. Additionally, students will be exposed to new ideas and new world views including the concepts of historical bias and propaganda. This course will focus on the CONFLICT and cultural CHANGE experienced by members of the global community from the development of organized communities to the expansion of globalization in the 21st century.

AP Exam InformationThe Advanced Placement component of the course requires that all students take the "AP Exam" at the end of the course and show their mastery of the content.
Students who show their mastery of the content by earning a 3, 4, or 5 (out of 5) on the AP exam will earn college credit at most universities. The test is mandatory BUT ALSO the cost is covered by Vianney! Test Date: May 16th, 2019 Test Format: 55 multiple choice, 3 short answers, 1 DBQ question, and 1 essay. |
