May 9th: Noon St. John Vianney High School - Room 102 AP Psychology The Advanced Placement program offers a course in psychology to qualified students who wish to complete studies in secondary school equivalent to an introductory college course in psychology. The AP Psychology course is designed to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavior and mental processes of human beings and other animals. Students are exposed to the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each of the major subfields within psychology. There are five content domains in AP Psychology which include: Methods, Biopsychological, Cognitive, Developmental, and Sociocultural. Students also learn about the ethics and methods psychologists use in their science and practice. Students will take the Advanced Placement Psychology Exam. My Name is Brandon Lewis and I will be the instructor for the course. My job is to help students digest important information, help them apply it to the real world, and prepare them for the AP exam. Although I can not (and would never) gaurentee a certain score on the AP exam I can guarentee I will do my best to foster an genuine interest in the subject of Psychology.
